Anxiety before a situation makes us second guess who we are and what we can and cannot achieve leaving us most of the time stuck in a decision making ruminating circle that just goes round and round. Here are 5 easy steps of breaking the circle:
The first step is: Don't let it stop you!!!
Do not wait for the feeling to go away! Waiting will not change anything, do it scared and you will notice that doing something that you are scared of will diminish you anxious mood. Let us pretend you have a phone call to make that you have been procrastinating. Pick the phone up and call knowing that you can hang up whenever you want. Call the person, talk, hang up and feel the dopamine flooding your body because whenever we achieve a task no matter how small Dopamine is released and we feel a bit more better about ourselves, This confidence boost diminishes then our anxious moods about people or situations.
